Vibe Curved Sofa 206

A curved sofa with an exposed metal frame that rises from the floor to carry the backrest, usually specified in a colour that deliberately argues with the upholstery.

Vibe revives the spirit of one of Sancal's earliest modular systems, designed by the company's founder in the mid seventies, and reworks it with a rounded, retro futuristic silhouette. Estudio Sancal launched it at Salone del Mobile in 2024.

The quilting on the seat and back is intentionally oversized, which is what keeps a sofa this generous from reading as heavy. The covers come off completely, both so the look can be changed and so the materials can be separated at the end of the piece's life.

The frame is 20 mm metal tube in extra matte lacquer on felt glides, and the upholstery can be specified in one fabric or split across two.
