Mousse Occasional Table

A small tray table designed to clip onto the arm, back or seat of a sofa rather than stand apart from it.

Rafa García created Mousse in 2018 as a modular seating system named after the dessert, with upholstery meant to suggest the texture of air bubbles. The tables were drawn as part of that same family, extending the soft language of the sofa into a hard surface.

The frame is steel and the tray is marine board finished in stained ash veneer, with a craquelé lacquer available on the top. The feet can be lacquered in any colour, which is how the piece is usually tied back to the upholstery it sits against.

Useful next to a sofa where a full side table would be too much, and light enough to move as the seating arrangement changes.
