A compact, rounded upholstered shell that borrows equally from Savile Row tailoring and the curve of a cognac glass.

estudi{H}ac designed Magnum in 2017 as an homage to a particular kind of British elegance, the gentlemen's club armchair scaled down until it could sit at a dining table. Sancal describe the result as discreet luxury, which is fair; it is a quiet chair that rewards a second look.

This version stands on oak legs, reinforced internally with epoxy coated steel so the timber can stay slender. The warmth of the wood softens the shell in a way the metal bases do not.

Inside, a steel shell carries injected foam and a fibre wrap, under a fixed fabric cover. It arrives ready assembled.
