A compact, rounded upholstered shell that borrows equally from Savile Row tailoring and the curve of a cognac glass.

estudi{H}ac designed Magnum in 2017 as an homage to a particular kind of British elegance, the gentlemen's club armchair scaled down until it could sit at a dining table. Sancal describe the result as discreet luxury, which is fair; it is a quiet chair that rewards a second look.

This is the castor version, which turns the same shell into a working chair. A lacquered steel base sits on five silent dual guide wheels, and a gas piston adjusts the seat height, so it does the job of an office chair without looking like one.

Inside, a steel shell carries injected foam and a fibre wrap, under a fixed fabric cover. It arrives ready assembled.
