Magnum Chair, Central Leg

A compact, rounded upholstered shell that borrows equally from Savile Row tailoring and the curve of a cognac glass.

estudi{H}ac designed Magnum in 2017 as an homage to a particular kind of British elegance, the gentlemen's club armchair scaled down until it could sit at a dining table. Sancal describe the result as discreet luxury, which is fair; it is a quiet chair that rewards a second look.

This version sits on a rotating central leg in lacquered steel with a felt glide, so the chair swivels in place. The same shell is also offered on wooden legs and on castors.

Inside, a steel shell carries injected foam and a fibre wrap, under a fixed fabric cover. It arrives ready assembled.
