Duo is a low, soft sofa made for lounging. Rafa García first designed it for Sancal in 2004, and it has been a staple of the collection ever since. He has now redrawn it with rounder forms and softer corners, splitting it into two lines: Duo Mini and Duo Maxi.
This is the Duo Maxi three-seater, the deeper of the two. The generous seat leaves room to pile in scatter cushions or extra back cushions, so it works as well for an afternoon nap as for a room full of guests.
The feet are hidden, so the whole volume appears to float just above the floor. Every detail of the finishing was refined in the redesign, and the cover can be specified in a wide range of fabrics.
Duo is also a full modular system. Corner units, chaises, armless modules and poufs can be combined into larger configurations, and each module can be used on its own.
