Bold Designer's Edition Occasional Table 180

An oversized, deliberately irregular tabletop carried on three legs shaped as a rectangle, a circle and a triangle. Bold is not subtle, and that is entirely the point.

Studiopepe designed it in 2023 as an homage to the charismatic, slightly irreverent language of Memphis. The three geometric legs do not sit politely underneath the top, they break through it at different heights, so the piece reads as one continuous sculptural gesture rather than a surface on supports.

This is the Designer's Edition, which swaps the standard lacquers for ALPI Sottsass Grey veneer on the top, a patterned wood veneer developed in the Ettore Sottsass tradition. The base stays in lacquered MDF as a quiet foil to it, and non-slip stops protect the floor.

Sancal describe Bold as a technical challenge as much as a design one. Getting an asymmetric top to sit true on three shapes of different section is harder than it looks.
