Talk Talk M Rug

Talk Talk turns one of Jaime Hayon's faces into a rug, cut to the profile so the whole piece is the drawing rather than a drawing printed on a rectangle.

This is the medium size in brick, a deep warm red that reads as clay rather than scarlet. A single eye in off-white is the only other colour on the piece.

It is made in pure New Zealand wool with a dense, level pile, and the cut edge follows the profile exactly, including the curve of the nose and chin.

Hayon has been drawing these characters for years across ceramics, furniture and glass. On a floor they do what they do everywhere else, which is stop a room from taking itself too seriously.
