Elephante Dining Table 140

Elephante is a dining table that makes no attempt to look light. Marcantonio designed it for Mogg in 2022 around a deliberately thick top and soft, curved legs, and the whole point of the piece is the weight it appears to carry.

The name is doing honest work. The legs bow outward the way an animal's do, and the generous section of the top and the rounded edges give the table the settled, unhurried stability of something that has always been in the room.

The round version reads differently from the rectangular one. With no head of the table, conversation moves around the group rather than along it, which suits dining rooms that get used for long lunches more than formal service.

It is finished in lacquer across a wide RAL range as well as a set of brushed speciality finishes, so it can be specified as a quiet neutral or as the single strongest colour in the room. Special colours are available to order.
