Free System was designed by Claudio Salocchi in 1973 as an "operational floor": an upholstered sofa system inspired by the tatami, in which modules can be combined however you like.
Corner modules, seats with interchangeable backrests, poufs and tatami elements build into a wide range of layouts, from informal islands in an open-plan space to more classic linear or corner arrangements.
The seats and backs are quilted for extra softness, with shaped inserts for comfort. Every cover is removable, and the modules join with a concealed coupling system.
